Accessibility

Transportation and technology that work for everyone.

We design our service and software so that riders, agencies, and team members of all abilities can use them with dignity and independence.

Our commitment

What we are building toward.

Visual accessibility

Color contrast targets, scalable typography, focus states on every interactive element across the platform.

Keyboard navigation

Every primary action — quoting, sign-in, portal management — is reachable without a mouse.

Screen reader support

Semantic landmarks, ARIA roles via Radix primitives, and meaningful labels for forms and buttons.

Physical accessibility

Driver training covers passenger assistance, mobility-device handling, and respectful service standards.

Plain-language copy

We avoid acronym-only labels in customer-facing UI; agency-specific terminology is glossed in context.

Standards

Standards we target.

Web — WCAG 2.2 AA

BETA

The ShiftForward website and customer/driver portals target WCAG 2.2 AA. Internal audits are ongoing; we welcome reports of issues we have missed.

Service — ADA-aligned operations

ROADMAP

Vehicle specifications, driver training and dispatch policies are being authored to align with ADA passenger transportation expectations. We do not yet claim full ADA paratransit certification.
